Lincoln University College and Shenzhen Foundation Launch “Belt and Road Acupuncture Station” to Boost Malaysia–China Healthcare Exchange

Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia, has partnered with the
Shenzhen Shouzheng Innovation Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Development Foundation to host the “Belt and Road Acupuncture Station” International Exchange Charity Event.

This initiative is set to enhance professional training in traditional Chinese medicine and strengthen
healthcare collaboration between Malaysia and China.

Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, President of Lincoln University College, emphasised the importance of this cooperation.

“Lincoln University College highly values the profound value of traditional Chinese medicine and
has consistently supported initiatives that promote international cooperation and cultural exchange in healthcare.

“We highly appreciate the Foundation’s commitment to promoting the development of traditional
Chinese medicine through innovative public welfare projects, aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative” said Dr. Amiya.

The event will adopt a “3-day skills training + 7-day mentorship” model, offering Malaysian medical
professionals hands-on learning through standardised teaching, clinical practice, and the joint
development of the Belt and Road Acupuncture Station.

Dr. Amiya added, “We believe this project will become a sustainable platform for international exchange in traditional Chinese medicine and further strengthen the friendly relations between Malaysia and China.

With China’s growing global influence, traditional Chinese medicine has gained renewed attention as a
cultural treasure. Under the guidance of President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative and the national
strategy of reviving TCM culture, the Shenzhen Shouzheng Innovation TCM Development Foundation
launched this project to carry out “Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Technology Training +
Physical Site Co-construction” for countries along the Belt and Road.

Through the establishment of the Belt and Road Acupuncture Station, local medical staff will be
empowered to master acupuncture techniques.
The project uses TCM acupuncture as a bridge to promote the universalisation of medical technology,
cultural trust, and a long-term platform for cultural exchange.
