Pattaya : Day 1 (Mera Mare Pattaya & Pattaya Beach Road)

Salam, all!

Those who have been following my insta feed & insta story should have known, that I went to Pattaya on JANUARY this year πŸ˜†! Thus, yes, it is a late late post!!!

Here I am, updating!

First thing first, why Pattaya?

Well if you followed my blog, I did update on an event, ALC Fashion Gala (click), where, I won a pair of Air Asia flight tickets. Thanks to Thai Tourism, and thanks to Zahira (click to see her blog) whom invited me to the event 😝

Eventho the air tickets I won only covered for the base fare (doesn't include all the insurance, because I did not won the main prize) , but nevertheless, it is an opportunity we don't want to missed! Bangkok can wait! Pattaya adventures were spectacular, too!!!

Here we are, at the winning seats πŸ˜‚

Our flights departed at around 1pm from KLIA 2, so we reached Pattaya at 3pm (approximately) and we decided to straight away  explore Pattaya. Yelah the journey only took us 2 hours kan, human penat sangat pun πŸ˜†

Mera Mare Pattaya

We stayed at Mera Mare Pattaya throughout our trip.
Located at Pattaya Beach Road, this hotel is just across the beach and this hotel's location is a hot spot and perfect for us to stroll along the beach and the street.

You can find many shops, 7 Elevens, massage parlours, souvenir shops, and pubs & bars, along Pattaya Beach Road.

Mera Mare is also located right next to Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya.

It was such a lovely hotel, luxury, comfortable & our room is at the same floor with the pool!

Halal Food near Mera Mare

A restaurant/food stall without a name (ke aku je yang tak tau nama dia?).
Only 3 minutes walk from our hotel.
And to my surprise, it is not that hard to find halal food in Pattaya anymore. Not like 10 years ago.

There're a lots of Muslims here, and when I talked to them, most of the muslims are from Southern Thailand.
So senang lah, nak makan tom yam, green curry and so on! All halal!

So for our dinner, we ordered, Green Curry Chicken and Beef Soup (for Rifqi).
All good! Tasted like authentic Thai, haha!

Green Curry Chicken ฿150

Rifqi's Beef Soup , ฿200
(They use minced meat for beef soup here, maybe that's the only source of halal beef for them)

Cash or Card Thailand

As per shown above, that's the range of prices for halal food in Pattaya (will share more eateries in the next posts! )

Pattaya Beach Road

After our early dinner, we strolled around Pattaya Beach Road to explore nearby area.
We walked, we hop on the tuk tuk. So convenient! I loveeee Thailand (eh tiber)!

And strolling around the street, acoompanied by such beautiful sunset! Subhanallah, such an amazing evening 🧑

Along the way via tuk tuk, we started to survey the massage parlour that looks nice, so that we can just go when we need the massage... Oh before i forget, if you ride on the tuk tuk (which is a small truck), u can just simply press the bell when u wanna go down at your destination.
And u can ask the driver how much u should pay...

 Spending Tips

In Pattaya, they prefer cash over QR or Credit/Debit card.
According to a staff at Hard Rock (where we shopped for T-shirts), apart from Bangkok/Chiangmai,  most of the states in Thailand still use cash widely, so, it's better to have cash there!

After a long and lovely evening, we called it a day! And go back to our hotel to rest! πŸ’€

Stay tuned to the next part of my update!!!
