IHH Healthcare Give Opportunity to Media Friends to Explore Their Hospitals

Media Health Hunt Challenge

Last week, August 5th, IHH Healthcare Malaysia (IHH), the largest private healthcare provider, organised the Media Health Hunt Challenge programme involving more than 40 media practitioners from 20 major media outlets in the country. 

I, as a blogger, felt so honoured, to be part of this programme. 

The opportunity to explore 6 major private hospitals in Klang Valley, were incredible, and from this experience, we got to know more about the 6 hospitals involved, including their specialities and the services they offered.

The 6 hospitals involved includes: Prince Court Medical Centre, Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Cheras, Pantai Hospital Ampang, Pantai Hospital Klang & Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

IHH Healthcare Malaysia Regional Chief Executive Officer, Erica Lam, said that they wanted media partners to truly experience for themselves what makes IHH Healthcare different, as well as explore the services provided at each hospital.

Erica added that patients are referred to the appropriate specialist through a structured internal referral system to ensure timely, effective and coordinated treatment.

According to her, this makes IHH Healthcare unique in offering a trusted and patient-centric healthcare ecosystem, supporting them with multidisciplinary expertise and a commitment to quality care.

IHH Healthcare Malaysia Emphasises "Patients First" as Their Core Value

All the 6 hospitals offers different specialties and cater different types of customers & patients. But they shares the same value: PATIENTS FIRST, which embrace their dedication to not just treat, but to cure whoever came to them.

Meanwhile, Prince Court Chief Executive Officer, Dr Shuba Srinivasan said the programme was designed as an interactive and fun experience as participants completed location clues, explored the hospital's key specialities and interacted with the clinical team.

He shared that among the cutting-edge facilities and technologies highlighted were Malaysia's first electric motorcycle ambulance, a modern hydrotherapy pool, a voice-based Smart Paediatric Ward and a Premier Lounge for international patients at Prince Court Medical Centre.

He said that Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur featured Mako SmartRobotics™ and EksoNR robotic exoskeleton while Pantai Hospital Klang introduced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and interventional cardiology services.

He added that Pantai Hospital Cheras featured round-the-clock emergency services, while Pantai Hospital Ampang focused on 24/7 cardiac emergency services and Cath Lab facilities.

"At Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, participants saw first-hand the Gamma Knife radiosurgery treatment, Hand and Upper Limb Centre and Breast Care Centre which offer one-stop services," said Dr Shuba.

He said that the focus was on cancer, heart, orthopaedics and emergency services throughout the programme, but IHH Healthcare also offered other specialities including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, neurosurgery and rehabilitation.

For the record, IHH Healthcare Malaysia operates a network of 18 hospitals nationwide including Gleneagles Hospital, Island Hospital, Pantai Hospitals, Prince Court Medical Centre and Timberland Medical Centre.

At the end of the day, after completing each and every challenges at each and every hospitals we visited,I'm so proud of my team as we were not just managed to complete the hunt, but also managed to placed ourselves as the 2nd runner up🥉
