I'm so honoured to witnessed the latest Raya collection by our very own Rico Rinaldi in the Summery RTW 2025 Collection Fashion Show, last Thursday

Renowned Malaysian fashion designer, Rico Rinaldi, unveiled his highly anticipated Summeraya RTW 2025 collection on February 6, 2025, at Menara Ken TTDI.

This collection introduces inclusive sizing up to 3XL and a brand-new Raya handbag line, while maintaining affordable prices despite rising concerns over the cost of fashion. While many designer brands have raised prices due to economic pressures, Rico Rinaldi remains steadfast, keeping his collection priced between RM259 and RM349. Despite economic challenges, Rico continues to deliver the premium quality expected from a renowned fashion designer, ensuring his designs remain accessible to a wider audience.

For the first time ever, Rico is introducing sizing up to 3XL, a rare move among designer brands. This ensures more people can experience the elegance of his Raya collection. Due to high demand, Rico also plans to extend sizing up to 5XL next year, reflecting his commitment to inclusive fashion.

The Summeraya RTW 2025 collection is known for its signature floral motifs, featuring modern baju kurung, kebaya, and kebarung designs that beautifully blend tradition and contemporary style. Notably, almost all pieces in this collection are breastfeeding-friendly, catering to mothers who seek both comfort and elegance.

Raya Handbag Collection by Rico Rinaldi

In addition to the clothing line, Rico Rinaldi is launching a Raya handbag collection with six exclusive designs that perfectly complement the Summeraya RTW 2025 outfits. One of the standout handbags is a collaboration with Richiamo, inspired by popular local beverages. The bags feature rich tones such as teh tarik, cappuccino, chocolate, and white coffee, adding a unique touch to Raya fashion. This collaboration celebrates two homegrown brands coming together to create something special.

Complete Dining Set in Collaboration with Objet

Rico Rinaldi is also collaborating with Objet to introduce a complete dining set, which includes dinner plates, bowls, tablecloths, placemats, and other table accessories. Inspired by the colors and floral motifs of the Summeraya RTW 2025 collection, this collaboration allows fans to blend fashion with home décor for a more meaningful Raya celebration.

The fashion show will be emceed by the charismatic Dayah Bakar, with Buttonscarves Beauty as the official makeup partner, ensuring the models exude elegance on the runway. This solo show is expected to be a spectacular fusion of fashion, inclusivity, and local creativity.

That’s why, even with all the talk about rising prices, I’ve kept my collection affordable without compromising the quality people expect from a designer brand. Expanding to 3XL is a step towards inclusivity, and I’m excited to announce that next year, we will extend sizing up to 5XL. The Summeraya RTW 2025 collection, along with the complete Objet dining set and Raya handbag collection, will be available for purchase until March 2025, just in time for Hari Raya celebrations. The fashion show was attended by key figures from the fashion industry, influencers, and media, further solidifying Rico Rinaldi’s position as a leading name in Malaysian fashion.
